I am 24 years old from Hamilton, Ontario Canada. I am an entrepreneur, motivational speaker, Player Development basketball coach, personal trainer, and life coach. Reading this you would think that I had my career path well planned out, but the truth is I shouldn’t even be alive.
When I was born, I was diagnosed with IPEX Syndrome, a rare form of immune deficiency. I would describe it as having bad immune health. However, I was not alone in this journey as my little brother, Cameron was born with the same immune deficiency. At the time we were 2 out of 50 cases worldwide. Throughout our lives we had numerous hospitalizations and often in life-or-death situations. Effects of this syndrome were severe, ranging from nephrotic syndrome, brain tumors, swelling of the brain, arthritis in the whole body, diabetes, epilepsy, and even hormonal imbalances which affected the way both Cameron and I developed. Sadly, Cameron passed away in 2016 at the age of 10 years old. Initially my belief was that I would suffer the same fate as my little brother. However, while admitted for a bone marrow transplant at Toronto Sick Kids hospital I was introduced to a special person who became my mentor named Christian. Although I was at my weakest point in life, my mentor Christian was able to show me that I had potential, he made me realize that I was more then a kid in a hospital bed. With this belief I started to drastically change my outlook and for the first time I was able to identify a purpose to my life. More specifically how I could honor my brother, Cameron’s life. Taking full accountability for my lifestyle and health I have been able to accomplish things I could have never imagined. The boy who was sick for the first 22 years of his life and was on more than 30 medications daily, is now completely off all medications with no illnesses.
Given this new lease on life I have become a certified life coach, a motivational speaker, personal trainer, Player Development coach for the Sudbury 5 basketball team and entrepreneur.
My work revolves around helping others succeed in their life, by addressing their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. I have worked with professional athletes, young adults, and children that have been hospitalized. Through this work I have created a brand-named CAM-O, where we specialize in helping teens to young adults suffering from a lack of connection and belonging. As a motivational speaker I have done numerous podcasts, virtual talks in front of over 500 people, to audience’s as small as 10 people. As a motivational speaker I strive to deliver impact and tailor my message to that audience.
My belief is that my significant struggles have led me to help others.
